Stephanie Harland Illustration/Animation
Punchy, decorative and fluid, Stephanie’s signature illustration style is characterised by vivid digital color, fine detail and stylish pen-and-ink line work. Digital imaging software and a graphics tablet are essential tools of her trade, so too are processes of scanning, layering and manipulating. Underpinning the artwork is a synergy of traditional hands-on development and digital exploration of visual language.
Stephanie’s portfolio of illustrations is diverse: from business, food and finance, to fashion, children’s books and travel. Current personal initiatives include illustrations for children’s picture books, in addition to a multi-media project inspired by the people and places encountered on her travels.
Stephanie’s food illustration is influenced by vintage food graphics, contemporary print media and the experiences of travel. Her catalogue of prints include sweet and savoury food groups, in addition to scenes of cafe and bar interiors. Recent visits to Europe and North America have provided inspiration for a personal project around the culture of food.
