Any gardener can join; you do not have to have an allotment, many WAGA members do not hold allotments. We are also encouraging members to join our friends of WAGA to help out with our 50th Show, General Maintenance, help in the Trading Hut and fundraising for our compost toilet.

Fees are as follows;

Registration fee 5.00                                                                    OAP Registration 2.50

Subscription fee 5 per,  household                          OAP Subscription fee 2.50 per household

2015 Annual General Meeting:  WAGA AGM 8th February 11am at the Cricket Club Rectory Road all members welcome

Trading Hut  WAGA runs a trading hut for members  at the allotments on Sunday mornings between 10:00am and 12:00 midday all year round (9am -10;15am on AGM day) . Selling seeds, compost, fertilisers, posts, meshing and other gardening consumables. You can also hire equipment to cut your grass paths or to rotavate your plot. This hut is manned by volunteers on a rota basis. You must be a member of WAGA to buy from the hut.  Everything is sold at generous cut down prices and there is always friendly gardening advice on hand.

WAGA  51st Show - 22nd August 2015 - William Loveless Hall There are many classes for adults and children to enter covering such categories as fruit, vegetables, cut flowers, baking, jam making and crafts. The categories for children include photography and model making. (Children can enter the adult classes). The show is the focal point of the year and has been running since 1964 and still attracts many from far and wide. This year we will be  reflecting back 100 years on the history of allotments and horticulture in Wivenhoe. Please feel free to just stop by for a cup of tea and a cake or for the raffle and our vegetable and fruit sales fresh from the allotments and gardens of Wivenhoe.
