The Wivenhoe Encyclopedia

There are many opportunities for learning in Wivenhoe. This page attempts to highlight those opportunities. The information is as complete, up to date and accurate as possible.  Please   with any additions and updates.

Essex University Open Language Programme.  Learning a language (from beginners to advanced levels) via the The Open Language Programme. Offered at Wivenhoe Park by the University of Essex.  Day-time classes starting at the beginning of October.

Workers Education Association (WEA) arrange a course each Spring and Autumn for adults to attend. The Autumn 2006 course is about The English Civil War. See their home page in the Wivenhoe Encyclopedia - click here

The University of the Third Age (U3A) has several sections in Wivenhoe. Look for their entry in the Organisations list, click here

The Adult Community College, more popularly known as Greyfriars has now closed but Adult Community Learning Essex offers a wide range of part-time day and evening courses at local Centres across the area.
